Anaheim Ducks Rumors: Defenseman Garnering Trade Interest
The Anaheim Ducks are getting ready to be sellers at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. Although John Klingberg and Kevin Shattenkirk are their big trade targets, another defenseman is also starting to get attention. According to NHL insider Jeff Marek, Dmitry Kulikov's market is expected to heat up once Vladislav Gavrikov gets traded.
It makes sense that the Ducks are preparing to trade Kulikov, as he is a pending unrestricted free agent who plenty of playoff teams will love to add. This is because he is a very solid bottom-pairing defenseman due to his reliable defensive play and physicality. As a result, we should see a lot of teams look at him once deadline day gets closer.
Teams who could be in the Kulikov sweepstakes include the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Washington Capitals. No matter where ends up, do not be surprised if he is moved by the Ducks before March 3 passes.
