Anaheim Ducks Rumors: Forward Available for Trade
The Anaheim Ducks have a few notable trade targets like John Klingberg, John Gibson, and Kevin Shattenkirk to pay attention to at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. However, another Duck is also picking up some steam on the trade market – Derek Grant.
Grant is not a star forward, but he has the potential to be a decent depth addition for a playoff team. The 32-year-old has only appeared in 23 games this season due to injury, where he has three goals and four assists. However, he is fully healthy at the perfect time, and now teams are starting to make a push to acquire him with the deadline being so close.
Grant could work well as a fourth-line forward for teams looking to a bit more secondary scoring to their group. Keep in mind, he is only one year removed from scoring 15 goals and recording 29 points in 71 games, so he could be worth taking a chance on. Alas, we will need to wait and see where the Abbotsford native ends up going from here. Expect teams like the Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, and New York Islanders to take a look at him.
