Arizona Coyotes Rumors: Forward Being Targeted By Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins are heading into the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline with the expectation of being buyers. At the time of this writing, they are trying to cement themselves as a playoff team, but it is clear that their roster could use some boosts if they want to compete with the best teams in the Eastern Conference. As a result, they have been linked to several players, and Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Ritchie is reportedly the latest.
The Penguins' bottom six certainly could use a jolt, and Ritchie could provide it with just that. After all, while performing at his best, he can provide decent secondary scoring to go along with a very physical style of play. As a result, he could be a nice addition to Pittsburgh's third line or fourth line as they gear up for the final stretch of the campaign.
Interest around the league is starting to increase for Ritchie, and this should only continue if the Coyotes make it known that they will retain some of his salary in the process. In 52 games this season, the 6-foot-3 winger has nine goals, 12 assists, and 148 hits.
