Arizona Coyotes & Toronto Maple Leafs Finalize Trade
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Arizona Coyotes have finally completed their 2021-22 trade as the Coyotes reached their deadline to select which draft pick they will be taking from the Maple Leafs.
That leaves the Leafs with three picks in the upcoming draft (3rd, 5th, 6th) as they continue looking for upgrades ahead of the trade deadline.

They also have 2024 picks (1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 7th) and 2025 picks (1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th) to potentially deal from.
As hockey insider Chris Johnston points out the Coyotes have selected the Maple Leafs 2025 second-round pick over their 2023 third-round selection. The Leafs now have their 3th, 5th, and 6th-round picks at this upcoming draft after sending their first-round selection to the St Louis Blues in the Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Acciari deal.
The Coyotes received Nick Ritchie in this original Maple Leafs trade and he's played much better in the desert than he did in the fish bowl of Toronto media. Now Ritchie is a pending free agent and is being discussed in trade talks. Interested teams include the Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Look for the Maple Leafs and Coyotes be open to making moves together again before this trade deadline as Toronto could have interest in 'Yotes defenseman Josh Brown.
