Buffalo Sabres & Vancouver Canucks Complete Trade
The Vancouver Canucks continue to make moves as they've sent defenseman Riley Stillman to the Buffalo Sabres for forward prospect Josh Bloom.
Stillman is a 24-year-old blueliner who was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this season. He's appeared in 32 games so far this season for the Canucks, tallying five assists. He's signed through next season, carrying a cap hit of $1.35 million.
As for Bloom, he's a 19-year-old who is still finding his game in the OHL. He's a point a game player in junior and was originally a third-round pick, 95th overall of the Sabres back at the 2021 NHL Draft.

• Plus-rated skater. He moves very well for a bigger guy.
• Strong release
• Decent hands
• Good size
• Gets to the net
• Has improved his game substantially in the last 2 seasons
