Canucks Rumors: Insider Links Boeser to Eastern Conference Team
Brock Boeser is one of the most interesting trade targets to watch at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. The Vancouver Canucks have made it known that they are looking to move on from him, and he could be a solid addition to a contender's forward group. According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Pittsburgh Penguins are a team to pay attention to in the Boeser sweepstakes.
If there was ever a classic change-of-scenery guy available, it's #Canucks Brock Boeser.

He's been through a lot. Time for a fresh start.

It ultimately makes sense that the Penguins could make a push for Boeser. When looking at their group, it is clear that they could use another sniper if they hope to compete with some of the best teams in the Eastern Conference come playoff time. With that, as Seravalli noted in his piece, Jason Zucker and Brian Dumoulin both have expiring contracts, so the Penguins would be able to afford Boeser past this season.
On paper, there appears to be a decent match here. Boeser could certainly bounce back playing with a star center like Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, but we will need to wait and see if a move between Pittsburgh and Vancouver comes to fruition from here.
