Chicago Blackhawks & Anaheim Ducks Make a Trade
The Chicago Blackhawks continued their busy ways as they've made another trade, this time sending left winger Josiah Slavin to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for right winger Hunter Drew.
The minor deal was announced on Thursday as both teams look to shake up their depth and AHL rosters. Slavin is set to report to the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Slavin has recorded one assist and four penalty minutes in 15 career NHL games, all with Chicago. He's a big frame at 6-foot-3 and so far in 51 AHL games this season with the Rockford IceHogs, Slavin has picked up 11 points. He was originally a seventh-round selection of the Blackhawks back in 2018.
As for Drew, he's a 24-year-old 6-foot-2 forward who appeared in two NHL games for the Ducks back in 2021-22. He was originally a sixth-round pick of the Ducks back in 2018 and has recorded 68 points in 170 career AHL games.
