Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: Forward to be Traded
All eyes are naturally on Patrick Kane right now, but it appears that another Chicago Blackhawks forward will soon be on the move. The Blackhawks are scratching Sam Lafferty for trade-related reasons.
The Blackhawks are sitting Sam Lafferty tonight for trade-related reasons. @CRoumeliotis had it first.

I also don’t expect we’ll see Patrick Kane on the ice today. Nothing finalized yet.
Lafferty's name has been in the rumor mill for much of this season, and now it appears that a trade is on the way. This is not all that surprising, as the Blackhawks are in a full-on rebuild, and Lafferty's trade value is at its highest point due to his strong season. The hard-working bottom-six forward is contributing solid secondary scoring, as he has 10 goals and 21 points in 51 games played.
Lafferty is the perfect kind of bottom-six forward that playoff teams love to add. He is a fast skater, defensively responsible, and plays a heavy game. Therefore, the Blackhawks could be getting a decent return for him, but we will need to wait and see where the Pennsylvania native ends up going from here.
