Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: Max Domi Linked to Contender
Although Max Domi reportedly is open to staying with the Chicago Blackhawks, there is a legitimate chance that we see him moved at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline due to his increased trade value. Several teams are expressing interest in him, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are the latest to do so, according to The Fourth Period.
The Lightning have become well-known for adding to their forward depth before the postseason over these last few years, and acquiring Domi would only follow this trend. There is no question that Tampa Bay could use a bit more secondary scoring if they want to get by Eastern Conference rivals like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, and Boston Bruins, so bringing in Domi does not sound like a bad idea in the slightest.
Domi could work well in their middle six, and this is especially true when noting his solid offensive numbers this year. In 53 games in 2022-23, the 27-year-old has 14 goals to go along with 36 points. Let's see if this is enough for him to be moved to the Lightning from here.
