Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: Patrick Kane Will Approve Trade to 2 Teams
According to TSN personality Carlo Colaiacovo Chicago Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane has interest in joining only two teams before the March 3 trade deadline and they are the New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Kane is a pending unrestricted free agent who wants out of Chicago. There's been a huge disconnect between the player and management these past 12 months and the time is coming for a deal. It will be weird seeing Kane in another jersey this season.
With the Rangers acquiring Vladimir Tarasenko recently, many feel it's taken them out of the Kane sweepstakes. However, given they didn't give up a ton and still have loads of young talent on their roster, there's still a possibility a trade gets worked out. The Rangers are a clear #1 choice for Kane as he'd like to reunite with ex-teammate Artemi Panarin.
As for the Maple Leafs, they have trade history with the Blackhawks and have a need for another winger for their top six. They also have the assets to make a deal work so this will be something to watch these next couple of weeks.
