The 36-year-old Johnson is a familiar face to the Avalanche as he spent last season with the team, winning a Stanley Cup. He's appeared in 58 games this season and has yet to score and has registered four assists.
Q: what's better than Jack Johnson playing 82 games?

Englund is a 27-year-old pending unrestricted free-agent defenseman who has three assists in 36 games this season in Colorado. A minor move as the Avs get some depth they're comfortable with on the blue line.
