Edmonton Oilers Rumors: Forward Could Be Hitting Waivers
While on Hockey Night in Canada, NHL insider Jeff Marek reported that the Edmonton Oilers could place Jesse Puljujarvi on waivers to make room to activate Kailer Yamamoto from injured reserve.

Puljujarvi has been talked about a lot in the rumor mill, but at the time of this writing, he is still a member of the Oilers. However, Edmonton has made it known that they are looking to trade him and his $3 million cap hit. With that, the 2016 first-round pick could definitely use a change of scenery. Perhaps a potential waiver placement could lead to just that occurring.
In 50 games this season, Puljujarvi has just five goals to go along with 11 points. Yet, when noting that he recorded a 36-point campaign in 65 games just last season, it does seem possible that a rebuilding team like the Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, or Arizona Coyotes could consider claiming him if he hits the wire. Alas, we will need to wait and see if that does in fact come to fruition from here.
