The Stars were in the market for another scoring winger and turn to Dadonov, who has recorded just 18 points in 50 games this season with the Canadiens. However, last season the Russian winger collected 43 points in 78 games for the Vegas Golden Knights. He's a pending unrestricted free agent at season's end.
Meanwhile, Gurianov is an interesting forward for the Canadiens as he's only 25 years old and is a pending restricted free agent under team control. This season with the Stars, in 43 games, he's struggled immensely, only recording two goals and nine points. Habs GM Kent Hughes is hopeful a change of scenery will do the player wonders and he'll be able to get back to his 20 goal output from a couple of seasons ago.
More moves to come in what is shaping up to be a Sunday Funday on the trade market.
Denis Gurianov's stock has faded in Dallas, especially offensively. But he makes sense as a reclamation project for a team in the Canadiens' current position. pic.twitter.com/Dfi4ZbSiGM
