Montreal Canadiens Rumors: Forward Linked to Winnipeg Jets

Sean Monahan is one of the top center trade targets available at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline, so he is starting to get plenty of attention. Now, a new team is interested in acquiring, as The Fourth Period has reported that the Winnipeg Jets are linked to Monahan.

It is easy to understand why the Jets are considering the prospect of acquiring Monahan. When observing their current group, it is fair to argue that they could a bit more depth down the middle, and Monahan would provide them with just that. He could serve as a perfect option for the third-line center role, as he provide it with more offense. With that, he of course would be in the running to receive plenty of power play time.

Monahan has been sidelined since December, but he has been inching closer to returning. In 25 games this season, Monahan has been quite effective, as he has six goals to go along with 17 points. Alas, we will need to wait and see if he becomes a Jet before the trade deadline passes from here.
