The 24-year-old Ratcliffe was originally a second-round pick of the Flyers back at the 2017 entry draft and has appeared in 10 career NHL games since, posting four points. Most of his professional experience has come at the AHL level where he's put up 56 points in 162 career games.
At 6-foot-6, Ratcliffe is a towering presence who was a junior star with the Ontario Hockey League's Guelph Storm. He's known for his strong work ethic and leadership skills as he captained the Storm to an OHL Championship in 2018 and was given an award for being the most impactful captain on and off the ice.
