New York Rangers Rumors: Patrick Kane Trade Announcement Next Week
The Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers have agreed on a Patrick Kane trade, all we have to do now is sit and wait.
If Leschyshyn is sent down today, #NYR can make Kane trade as of Wednesday. If trade not made Wed, they would have room to call up 1 player for the game on Wed for 20 healthy players, then send them down Thursday, & still fit Kane in Thursday or Friday.https://t.co/itDts5do69

Word is the trade will not be official until Wednesday of next week due to financial implications via the salary cap. Yes, waiting a few days actually does help teams a tremendous amount.
The Blackhawks are likely receiving a '23 first-round pick (originally the Dallas Stars), along with young forward Jake Leschyshyn and another top prospect. Kane made it clear to Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson, he'd only approve a trade to the Rangers. Davidson's hands are essentially tied thanks to Kane's no-movement clause and any return is a benefit at this point.
Through 54 games this season, Kane has recorded 45 points. He's collected 1225 points in 1161 career NHL regular season games as a Blackhawk and also added in 132 points in 136 Stanley Cup Playoff games. It will be weird seeing him in a Rangers jersey, however reuniting with Artemi Panarin should do wonders for his game.
