NHL Rumors: Golden Knights & Blackhawks Talking Blockbuster

The Vegas Golden Knights were dealt awful news when it was announced that Mark Stone will be out indefinitely after needing back surgery. This has created a major hole in the Golden Knights' lineup, and now there's buzz that the Golden Knights will be searching for a star winger to replace him. Now, more fuel has been added to that fire, as Vegas is one of the teams now linked to Patrick Kane, according to The Fourth Period.

Kane would be a very solid replacement for Stone in the Golden Knights' top six. Although he does not offer the same elite defensive play as Stone, he would give the Golden Knights another star in their lineup before the postseason. With that, he could be the perfect kind of skilled winger to play with fellow star Jack Eichel.

Kane is going to have full control over if he will be traded due to his no-movement clause. Yet, if he does give the Blackhawks permission to move him, the Golden Knights could be a perfect landing spot for him. We will need to wait and see if their interest in Kane leads to them winning the sweepstakes from here.
