The 27-year-old Motte is a pending unrestricted free agent who is making $1.3 million against the cap. He's appeared in 38 games this season and has recorded nine points and 88 hits. He loves to bang and crash and could be a nice addition for a playoff bound team's bottom six.
Motte is a nice lower 6 add for a playoff team.

Motte does not hold any trade protection and has played in 32 Stanley Cup Playoff games in his career. There's a number of teams interested including his old team, the New York Rangers, as well as the Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars.
Expect to see Motte moved in the very near future as Friedman's reporting skills are off the charts.
