Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators Make Blockbuster Trade
The Tampa Bay Lightning have added some sandpaper to their bottom-six forward group as the team has acquired Tanner Jeannot from the Nashville Predators. Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet was the first to report the move. The Predators land a boatload from the Lightning as they'll receive young defenseman Cal Foote, along with a slew of draft picks.

Multiple NHL GMs are stunned by the return. Like jaws on the floor.

With the Boston Bruins adding Garnet Hathaway and the Toronto Maple Leafs adding Noel Acciari, the Lightning were likely going to add some toughness of their own. Jeannot is on a great contract at $800,000 and he's got 20-goal potential in his game. '
The Lightning love to add depth ahead of trade deadlines and once again do so in 2023. They aren't likely done just yet as management will continue to work the phones ahead of the March 3rd deadline.
Tanner Jeannot, traded to TB, is a physical third line forechecking forward who takes a lot of penalties. Out-of-nowhere finishing touch last season has been nowhere to be seen this year. #GoBolts pic.twitter.com/Fwr5e5oSHD
