Toronto Maple Leafs Rumors: More Deals Coming Before Trade Deadline
The Toronto Maple Leafs pulled off a blockbuster trade with the St Louis Blues to land Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Acciari and word is they are not finished. GM Kyle Dubas wants to give his players the best chance to win a Stanley Cup this season and look for the Leafs executive to potentially add another winger and a defenseman.
Dubas held a press conference on Saturday before the team's game against the Montreal Canadiens and made it known he's very happy with his goaltending depth and would be open to a number of things before the March 3 trade deadline.
The Maple Leafs have over $4 million in deadline cap space to use at the moment and have been linked to several different trade talks for adding a top-four defenseman. Names like Jake McCabe of the Chicago Blackhawks and Dmitry Kulikov of the Anaheim Ducks have been linked to the Leafs of late.
While Dubas traded four draft picks to land the pair of Blues, look for the next move to include at least one or two prospects and potentially someone off their current roster.
