Washington Capitals Rumors: Forward Being Linked to Wild
The Minnesota Wild are going to be an interesting team to pay attention to at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. Although players like Matt Dumba and Jordan Greenway are being shopped, it appears that the Wild are also open to adding to their roster before their postseason. As a result, in his most recent 32 Thoughts article, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman noted that Conor Sheary could make sense for them.

The Wild could certainly use a solid middle-six forward to their group, and Sheary is just that while performing at his best. He has once again been having a productive season with the Washington Capitals, as he has 12 goals, 30 points, and a plus-3 rating in 59 games played. If Washington drops out of the wild card race, he could become a prime rental candidate.
Sheary carries an affordable $1.5 million cap hit, so he also would not be hard for the Wild to fit in financially. On paper, there could be a very good match here, but we will need to wait and see if the Wild end up bringing in the Massachusetts native before the deadline passes from here.
