Washington Capitals Sign Forward to Extension
The Washington Capitals have made a notable move, as they have signed Dylan Strome to a five-year, $25 million contract extension.
Last offseason, the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks decided to let the then RFA walk freely into free agency, and that certainly looks like a major mistake now. The 25-year-old has been a fantastic addition for the Capitals this season, as he has 11 goals to go along with 36 points in 52 games. Clearly Washington values him as a player, as they now have inked him to this excellent multi-year pact.
Strome has earned this contract, and now he will be a Capital for another half decade because of it. We will need to wait and see how he responds to signing this deal through his play from here.
