3 Potential Trade Destinations for Flyers' Carter Hart
The Philadelphia Flyers have made drastic changes to their management group and it sounds like those changes are going to trickle down to the ice. While a total fire sale isn't expected, a rebuild is, which could include moving on from goaltender Carter Hart. Here's three potential destinations for the former second-round pick:
San Jose Sharks
With veteran James Reimer coming off the books this summer, the Sharks could be the market for a young goaltender. Hart needs a change of scenery a move to San Jose could get him out of the spotlight and hopefully back to what he does best..stopping pucks. Hart hasn't had his save % over .915 since his rookie year five seasons ago.
Elliotte Friedman reported on his podcast today that Carter Hart will be available.

Veterans with 2-3 years left on their deals who don’t fit the timeline of the rebuild will be on the trade block.

Ottawa Senators
It would be interesting to see if Hart is dealt, if it will be an Eastern Conference team, the chances aren't very likely. However, the Senators are a team to watch as they don't have Cam Talbot signed for next season and some of their goaltending depth is still a couple of years away. The Senators are up and coming and Hart would be fun to watch backing them up.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche should be circled. They have Alexandar Georgiev as their number one and could see Hart as a potential upgrade over re-sign Pavel Francouz passed 2023-24. Hitting reset with a recent Stanley Cup champ could revitalize Hart's career and send him back on track to becoming elite like he was projected.
