Arizona Coyotes & Columbus Blue Jackets Complete Trade
The Arizona Coyotes and Columbus Blue Jackets have completed a trade which has some financial implications for the Coyotes. The deal sees Jakub Voracek and his $8.25 million cap hit for the rest of this season and next to the desert along with a '23 sixth-round pick, in exchange the Blue Jackets receive goaltender Jon Gillies.

Coyotes are getting a 6th round pick with Jakub Voracek from the Blue Jackets to take on that deal, as @Aportzline states. Gives AZ some flexibility cap floor wise for other potential moves here, and takes some $ off CBJ's hands.

With Joonas Korpisalo moved and Jonathan Quick not showing up, Gillies could get a chance at some minutes down the stretch. Voracek isn't expected to play and his contract will help the Coyotes get to the salary cap floor
Another contract that could be on ARIZ’s radar is Jakub Voracek’s. There is cash for next year, but if he’s (unfortunately) unable to play, there would be insurance considerations.
