Buffalo Sabres Rumors: Young Goalie Becoming Trade Candidate

According to Chad DeDominicis, the Buffalo Sabres are not a fan of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's game, and he could be traded because of it.

Luukkonen has been viewed as the Sabres' future long-term starter for quite some time, but he has had some trouble reaching his full potential. With him now being 24 years and the Sabres having a new top goaltending prospect in Devon Levi, perhaps this could open the door to Buffalo deciding to move UPL this summer. Although he has struggled in the NHL, there should still be a market for him because of his potential.

UPL has played in a career-high 31 games this season with the Sabres, where he sports a 15-11-4 record but also a high 3.62 goals-against average and a rough .890 save percentage. As a result of all of this, we will now need to wait and see if the Sabres decide to move him this offseason from here. Some teams who could be interested in his services include the Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
