Calgary Flames Sign Former First-Round Draft Pick Effective Immediately
The Calgary Flames 2022/23 campaign has been an incredibly disappointing one, and with the odds against them at chasing down the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, many have begun looking to the future of this organization.
On Sunday, the team gave their fans some of the best news possible, as they have officially signed forward Matthew Coronato out of Harvard, their first-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft to a three-year entry-level deal.
In 34 games for Harvard this past season, Coronato ended with 20 goals and 16 assists for 36 points, and for a Flames team that's struggled to score, injecting his offensive talent into the lineup could be just the thing they need to go on a late season run.MATTHEW SCORE-ONATO!
