Chicago Blackhawks Will No Longer Wear Pride Jersey

While the NHL approaches the most important time of the year in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there's been a story that somewhat overshadows everything else as of late, and that is the pride night warmup jerseys that have been worn by teams around the league for some time now.

Following Ivan Provorov refusing to wear the jersey back in January, we have seen plenty of upheaval around the pride night warmups, as several teams have cancelled it altogether, while James Reimer followed in Provorov's shoes and refused to wear it for the Sharks pride night, citing his religious beliefs as a reason to do so.

Now, the Chicago Blackhawks have confirmed they will be another team to not don the rainbow jersey for warmups, as they officially cancelled their plans to wear them in warmups on Sunday, this time citing the safety of Russian players on the team due to the anti-LGBTQ laws in Russia.
