Colorado Avalanche Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Candidates
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players from each team who could be moved during the summer.
In this latest episode of the series, we will be focusing on the Colorado Avalanche.
Samuel Girard: Samuel Girard is a player who could certainly be on the move this offseason. With the Avalanche having Devon Toews and Bowen Byram on their left side as well, it could open the door to Colorado being willing to move Girard. This is especially so if he helps land them a much-needed second-line center.
Alex Newhook: With the Avalanche currently in their Stanley Cup window, they could be open to moving Alex Newhook if it results in them landing a high-impact player that would help them immediately. The 2019 first-round pick has had trouble cementing himself as a top-six forward, as he has just 27 points in 74 games. Therefore, they could use his high trade value along with other assets to bring in another star.
Sean Behrens: The Avalanche could also move a notable prospect like Sean Behrens this offseason if it results in them making a big splash. The University of Denver defenseman recorded 21 points in 31 games as a sophomore this season and has top-four potential. Thus, rebuilders would love to get their hands on him.
