Columbus Blue Jackets Forward Likely Done for the Season
The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without forward Patrik Laine for 2-4 weeks due to a strain in his triceps. Blue Jackets fans are likely a little bit happy about the news as they scoreboard watch to see how the standings will shape up for the Connor Bedard sweepstakes.
Laine is expected to be out at least two weeks and given what's left of the regular season, it's likely his season is over. The 24-year-old had an up-and-down campaign and currently sits with 22 goals and 30 assists in 55 games.
Laine's chemistry with Johnny Gaudreau is still a work in progress and certainly something to watch heading into next season. The Blue Jackets have a strong young core and adding a player like Bedard at the draft could do wonders in Columbus. Certainly exciting for their fan base when you have a core stacked like so:
Even if it’s Fantilli, Michkov, or Carlsson, still woah. #CBJ
