Columbus Blue Jackets Star Forward to Miss Time
The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without Patrik Laine for the next two to four weeks, as he is dealing with a triceps strain.
While speaking with reporters, Blue Jackets head coach Brad Larsen noted that Laine suffered his injury while shooting a puck at practice.
Given the fact that the regular season is inching closer to its conclusion, there is a chance that this could mark the end of Laine's season if he needs the maximum amount of time to recover.
Laine recently moved to the center position over the last few games, where he recorded four assists in two games played. Unfortunately, this fun experiment will now be put on pause at a minimum due to this development.
Although Laine has had injury trouble in 2022-23, it has been a good season for the 24-year-old. In 55 games on the year, he has 22 goals to go along with 52 points. Let's see if he gets the chance to improve upon these season stats before the year is over.
