Dallas Stars Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest episode of the series, we will be discussing the Dallas Stars.

Tyler Bertuzzi: Tyler Bertuzzi was one of the Stars' big trade deadline targets, but the Boston Bruins were the lucky team to acquire him. However, it is no secret that the Stars love the player, so they are very likely to pursue him yet again if he hits the free-agent market this summer. This is especially so when noting that they need a second-line left winger.

Damon Severson: The Stars would be wise to improve the right side of their defensive group this offseason. As a result, it would not be surprising if they look to bring in a top-four defenseman like Damon Severson. The 28-year-old is having another productive season with the New Jersey Devils in 2022-23, as he has six goals, 23 assists, and a plus-8 rating.

Noel Acciari: The Stars have a few bottom-six forwards who can hit free agency this summer. As a result, they are likely going to be looking for at least one bottom-six forward this offseason, and Noel Acciari stands out as a very solid free-agent candidate for them. He provides solid secondary scoring to go along with steady defensive play and physicality.
