Dallas Stars Rumors: Bruins Forward On Team's Radar
Leading up to the trade deadline, the Dallas Stars were one of the many teams that pursued Tyler Bertuzzi aggressively before his eventual trade to the Boston Bruins. As a result of this, they are expected to pursue Bertuzzi if he hits the free-agent market this summer, according to Jeff Marek.
It is not all that surprising to hear that the Stars want to bring in Bertuzzi. After all, he is a proven top-six forward who plays a gritty game. With that, the Stars could use a boost at the left wing position, and Bertuzzi would provide them with just that if signed.
In 39 games this season between the Detroit Red Wings and Bruins, Bertuzzi has five goals to go along with 20 points. Since joining Boston, he has been starting to heat up a bit, as he has four points over his last five games. If this hot streak continues during the final portion of the year, that should only heighten Dallas' interest in the scrappy forward.
