John Klingberg, acquired by MIN, is a skilled puck-moving defenceman who's great on the powerplay. He's also the worst defensive player on the worst defensive team of the cap era. Truly just gave up on defending entirely. #MNWild pic.twitter.com/yZovKZKe5q

John Klingberg going to the Wild, aka Defence University, is about as good a fit as you can get for a team that needs more offence from the backend. pic.twitter.com/2KApMo6Su4

Klingberg signed a one-year deal with the Ducks for $7 million and basically set himself up for a show-me season, one where he's recorded 24 points in 50 games. His best season came back in 2017-18 as a member of the Dallas Stars where the offensive d-man posted 67 points in 82 games.
The Wild also added Oskar Sundqvist from the Detroit Red Wings and Marcus Johansson from the Washington Capitals, meanwhile Guerin's also added a couple draft picks for some salary cap space. A wild deadline in Minnesota to say the very least.
