Florida Panthers & Los Angeles Kings Complete Trade
While the NHL Trade Deadline was on March 3, some minor deals continue to trickle through the transactions wire. For today's minor move, the Los Angeles Kings and Florida Panthers have pulled off a trade.
The Kings have acquired the rights to defenseman Cole Krygier from the Panthers in exchange for future considerations. It's likely a late draft pick or an unsigned prospect of their own will eventually be heading to the Sunshine State.
As for Krygier, he's a 22-year-old blueliner who completed his fifth and final season at Michigan State University. This year he managed to produce 16 points in 38 games, including 10 goals. Krygier's 10 snipes was tied for fourth among all NCAA defensemen.
In 160 career NCAA games, he's registered 42 points and close to 200 penalty minutes. Krygier was originally a seventh-round draft pick of the Panthers, 201st overall.
