Nashville Predators Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Ryan Johansen
The Nashville Predators made multiple moves before the deadline and established that they are retooling because of it. Ryan Johansen was shopped before the deadline, but a season-ending injury halted those plans. As a result, let’s look at three teams who could target him this offseason.
Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche are looking for a second-line center, and this has been the case since they lost Nazem Kadri to free agency. Therefore, it seems quite possible that they would be open to acquiring Johansen. This is especially so if some of his salary is retained.
Carolina Hurricanes: The Carolina Hurricanes are another team that stands out as a possible landing spot for Johansen. After losing Vincent Trocheck this past offseason, they still have not found an answer for the second-line center role. As a result, Johansen could be the answer to this ongoing issue.
Winnipeg Jets: The Winnipeg Jets could be in the market for another center this offseason. This is especially true when noting that Pierre-Luc Dubois’ future with the team is not set in stone. With that, the Jets have had secondary scoring issues, so bringing in a player like Johansen could be a nice way to fix that.
