New York Islanders Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.
In this latest episode of the series, we will be looking at the New York Islanders.
Alex Killorn: The Islanders need to add a top-six winger who can score this offseason. This has been a major need for them for multiple seasons, so look for them to make a push for Alex Killorn. The longtime Tampa Bay Lightning winger is having another very good season, as he has 23 goals and 56 points in 75 games.
Radko Gudas: Scott Mayfield is a pending unrestricted free agent and could move on from the Islanders this summer because of it. Due to this, it could make sense for the Islanders to replace him with fellow bottom-pairing defenseman Radko Gudas. He would give them immense physicality to go along with steady defensive play.
Antti Raanta: Antii Raanta could be a backup netminder to consider this offseason for the Islanders. He has been quite solid with the Hurricanes in the role this season, as he has a 16-2-3 record, 2.32 goals-against average, and .907 save percentage.
