New York Rangers Sign Rising Star To Four-Year Extension
The New York Rangers have been one of the fastest rising teams in the NHL over the past 18 months, and one of the reasons for that is their home grown talent that played a big part in their deep playoff run in 2021/22, headlined by the 'kid line' of Alexis Lafreniere, Filip Chytil and Kaapo Kakko.
On Wednesday, the team officially announced that they have signed Chytil to a four-year extension worth $4.375 million annually, and while he's not broken out as a star yet, this is a fantastic deal for a rising star that is only going to get better with time.
In 2022/23 thus far, Chytil has played in 66 games, racking up 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points, and is a key part of this offensive group on the third line, and if he continues to develop the way they expect, this deal will look even better going forward.🚨 HERE TO FIL YOUR FEED WITH JOY 🚨
