Ottawa Senators Forward Done for the Year
The Ottawa Senators will be without Ridly Greig for the remainder of the season. The 2020 first-round pick has suffered a sternum injury.
Greig appeared in his first 16 NHL games this season with the Senators, where he has one goal, five assists, and 27 hits. Overall, it was a solid start for the Alberta native, so it is rough to hear that he will now miss the remainder of the campaign while the Senators are aiming to make the playoffs.
Greig is viewed as having a very bright future, and he should be a key contributor to the Senators' roster next season. However, there is no question that Senator fans would have loved to see what he could do during the final portion of this regular season.
Greig also had a very strong season with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League, as he had 13 goals and 27 points in 35 games played.
