Red Wings Sign Dylan Larkin to Massive Extension
Enough with the trade rumors, the Detroit Red Wings are keeping forward Dylan Larkin around for the foreseeable future after signing him to an eight-year deal worth $8.7 million average annual value.
The team announced the extension on Wednesday as there's been a ton of trade rumors of late and trade interest in Larkin. He was set to be an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer and chose to stay in Motown long term.
He's a Michigan native and now gets set to stick around to lead the Red Wings to what looks like a very bright future. They are in the thick of the Stanley Cup Playoff race in the Eastern Conference and if they don't make the NHL's second season in 2022-23, look for the Wings to be a team to beat next season.
