Toronto Maple Leafs: Insider Links Red Wings Trade
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Toronto Maple Leafs may have interest in acquiring Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi ahead of the Friday afternoon trade deadline.
Friedman says you're crazy if you think Dubas is done, but he doesn't think he will get a goalie, doesn't think Kerfoot is on the move. One player they have liked for a long time is Tyler Bertuzzi, not 100% certain it gets done, will be a challenge, but he's a player they like.

The Red Wings appear to be in the market for hockey deals as they sent Filip Hronek to the Vancouver Canucks for a huge package. Bertuzzi could be next as Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman listens to trade offers.
Bertuzzi is a 28-year-old versatile winger who is a pending free agent, making $4.75 million against the salary cap. He's a pesky forward and someone who would give the Maple Leafs some more sandpaper up front.
The Maple Leafs acquired a first-round pick for young defenseman Rasmus Sandin and now own the Boston Bruins selection. It will be a late first rounder, however it could be in play in this potential deal.
