Leafs expect him back before the playoffs @TSN_Edge
Certainly not ideal news for O'Reilly or the Maple Leafs as they look to get a bunch of new faces comfortable on their new team. The bright spot here is the fact O'Reilly can work out and skate with a broken finger and the fact that he's expected to be ready for game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe reiterated numerous times they didn't expect O'Reilly to miss any of the postseason. The last time a Maple Leaf had this injury, they missed two weeks.
Throughout his first eight games with the Leafs, the 32-year-old O'Reilly has chipped in with five points and has shown on numerous occasions how he will impact the game for Toronto in many different ways. Now the plan is to get healthy and return to some game action before the team's first-round matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
