The 21-year-old center was a 7th-round pick of the Leafs back in 2020, and now has completed his time at Connecticut. The three-year deal has an average annual value of $851,667.
Tverberg will join the Leafs' American Hockey League team, the Marlies, for the balance of the season on a tryout basis.
Tverberg notched 69 points in 85 games in his time with the UConn Huskies, scoring 33 goals and adding 36 assists.

"The Maple Leafs organization is very thankful to the University of Connecticut," said Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas. "Ryan's development through his three seasons with the Huskies and subsequent signing today is a testament to the tireless work of head coach Mike Cavanaugh and all the staff within the UConn men's hockey program."
