Vancouver Canucks Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for J.T. Miller
The Vancouver Canucks had trade talks centering around J.T. Miller before the deadline passed. Although a move did not occur, they still could technically trade him before his extension and no-trade clause kicks in on July 1st. As a result, let’s go over three possible landing spots for him if Vancouver tries to move him.
Pittsburgh Penguins: The Pittsburgh Penguins were heavily linked to Miller before the deadline passed, but they could not finalize a move with Vancouver. It is clear that the Penguins need a high-impact forward if they wish to be legitimate contenders again, so look for them to pursue Miller again this summer.
Carolina Hurricanes: Similar to Pittsburgh, the Carolina Hurricanes were also involved in the Miller sweepstakes this deadline season. The Hurricanes need a legitimate second-line center, and Miller absolutely would provide them with just that. They will have salary cap to work with this offseason, too, as they have multiple expiring contracts.
New York Rangers: A reunion with the New York Rangers could also be in the cards for Miller, too. The Rangers have multiple pending UFAs including Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko, so they could look at Miller if one or both of them walk this offseason. With that, he would strengthen their top six even further.
