Vancouver Canucks Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Conor Garland
Conor Garland was getting a lot of trade buzz before the deadline, but the Vancouver Canucks decided not to trade him. However, with the Canucks looking to free up salary, there’s a good chance that they will engage in trade talks centering around Garland this summer. As a result, let’s discuss three possible landing spots for him.
Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins were linked to Garland before his eventual trade to the Canucks. When noting that they have a lot of pending unrestricted free agents and could use another right winger, it could make sense for them to try to acquire Garland again. With that, the hometown kid would become even more of an appealing target if the Canucks retain some of his salary.
Columbus Blue Jackets: The Columbus Blue Jackets have had a very bad season, and they are looking to make several moves this offseason in hopes of turning things around. It is clear that they could use another solid right winger on their roster, so don’t be surprised if they end up making a push for Garland this offseason because of it.
Detroit Red Wings: The Detroit Red Wings are heading in the right direction, so they are expected to have another active summer. They certainly could use another middle-six forward on the roster, so they could consider the prospect of making a push for a player like Garland.
