Washington Capitals Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Evgeny Kuznetsov
Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has requested a trade. Due to this, he now has emerged as one of the biggest offseason trade targets heading into this summer, so let’s discuss three potential landing spots for him.
Colorado Avalanche: After losing Nazem Kadri to the Calgary Flames this past offseason, the Colorado Avalanche seem like a prime landing spot for Kuznetsov. After all, he would finally give them another legitimate top-six center, and he could thrive playing with other stars like Gabriel, Landeskog, Nathan, MacKinnon, and Cale Makar.
Calgary Flames: Speaking of the Flames, they also seem like a team who could try to acquire Kuznetsov this summer. This season has been a rough one for Calgary, and a major reason for this has been their scoring trouble. Due to this, it would be wise for them to add a skilled playmaker like Kuznetsov to their group. He would improve their top six immensely and could work quite well on their power play as well.
St. Louis Blues: The St. Louis Blues have had a disappointing season, so they could look to make major changes during the summer. After trading away Ryan O’Reilly, at the deadline, they have a notable hole at their top-six center, and Kuznetsov could be the perfect player to help fix that.
