Winnipeg Jets Defenseman Requests Trade

According to reports, Winnipeg Jets defenseman Logan Stanley has requested a trade from the organization. The towering defenseman is 24 years old and a former first-round pick of the Jets.

Stanley has been in and out of the lineup this season in Winnipeg and hasn't been able to find a role on coach Rick Bowness' team. He's battled a foot injury as well which hasn't helped his cause.

The 6-foot-7 Stanley has appeared in 108 NHL games with the Jets, recording two goals and 18 points. He's signed this season at $900,000 against the cap and is a pending restricted free agent at season's end.

Stanley is a fierce competitor who isn't afraid to muck it up in the dirty areas of the ice and stick up for his teammates. He has potential to be a top-four defenseman who can help run a penalty kill. Hopefully things work out for him as he looks to move on from Winnipeg.
