Buffalo Sabres Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Targets
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three players each team in the NHL should try to acquire through trade.
In this latest episode of the series, we will be focusing on the Buffalo Sabres.
Erik Karlsson: The Sabres could be players in the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes. They have the cap space and assets to get a deal done, and the 100-point defenseman could be the final piece of the puzzle that allows them to be a playoff team again. With that, they need help on the right side of their defensive group, so look for them to pursue him.
Dan Vladar: The Sabres have found something special in goaltender Devon Levi, and he should be their long-term starter because of it. However, goaltending has been an issue for the Sabres all season, and they would be wise to bring in another netminder this summer because of it. With the Calgary Flames having Dustin Wolff, Dan Vladar could be made available and would be a solid 1B option for Buffalo.
Nick Seeler: The Sabres could look to improve their bottom pairing and bring in Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler. Seeler was in the rumor mill as we inched closer to the deadline, but Philadelphia elected to keep him. In 76 games this season, the 29-year-old has four goals, 10 assists, 124 hits, and a plus-1 rating in what has been a breakout year.
