Calgary Flames Officially Eliminated From Playoffs
The Calgary Flames made headlines all summer long, losing Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk, while also adding Mackenzie Weegar, Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri, but unfortunately, they took a major step back when push came to shove.
After their 3-2 shootout loss to the Nashville Predators on Monday night, the Flames have now officially been eliminated from playoff contention, and will go back to the drawing board, looking to recapture the magic that took them to the Pacific Division title in 2021/22.
With so much talent already locked in, it's clear that the potential is there, but it looks like some changes will need to be made this off-season, and if that is the case, we could be looking at a contender once again in 2023/24.The #Flames are officially eliminated from Stanley Cup contention.
