Carolina Hurricanes Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Targets
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three players each team in the NHL should try to acquire through trade.
In this latest episode of the series, we will be focusing on the Carolina Hurricanes.
J.T. Miller: The Hurricanes were linked to Vancouver Canucks star J.T. Miller leading up to the deadline and could pursue him again before his contract extension and full no-movement clause kick in on July 1. It ultimately makes sense that the Hurricanes have him on their radar, as they need a 2C, and would fill in that role beautifully for them if acquired.
Tony DeAngelo: Tony DeAngelo thrived in his lone season as a Hurricane. Carolina reportedly was aiming to bring him back before the deadline passed because of this. This is an avenue we could see them go down again this summer, as DeAngelo is a clear trade candidate. After all, he is in John Tortorella's dog house, as evidenced by his three straight healthy scratches.
Jack Roslovic: If the Hurricanes want a cheaper center for the 2C role, Jack Roslovic could make sense for them. After a horrible 2022-23 season, the Columbus Blue Jackets are ready to make changes to their group, and Roslovic is expected to be on the move because of it.
