Chicago Blackhawks Extend Veteran Defenceman
The Chicago Blackhawks unsurprisingly had a dreadful 2022/23 season, with eyes totally fixated on the 2023 NHL Draft and building towards the future, but on Wednesday, they made a solid veteran move that will help them going forward.
After a solid 2022/23 campaign, the team have signed veteran defence man Jarred Tinordi to a one-year extension worth $1.25 million, and after bouncing around the league from Montreal to Boston to New York, it appears he's found a great role in Chicago.
Tinordi put up just 8 points in 40 games this season, but he provides good veteran leadership for a young team, and while they may be a few years away from competing, Tinordi will play a good role for this team going forward. The Blackhawks have signed Jarred Tinordi to a 1-year contract extension with a $1.25 million cap hit, per a source.
